Kenagy, P.E., is the Capital Programs Executive for the Port of Long Beach, California, named to the post in November 2014 by the Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners, governing body for the City of Long Beach Harbor Department and the Port. Mr. Kenagy oversees all elements of the Port’s decade-long, $4 billion capital improvement program –the largest infrastructure investment of any port in the nation – with a goal of completing a number of landmark projects on schedule and within budget. At the request of the Commission, he also served as both Interim Chief Executive for the Port from September 2016 through May 2017 and then Interim Deputy Executive Director during the search for permanent leadership before resuming his post full time as Capital Programs Executive in August 2018. Major capital projects at the Port include the replacement of the aging Gerald Desmond Bridge and the Middle Harbor Terminal Redevelopment – each budgeted at nearly $1.5 billion.
